Irish Results - Day 11

* A third  bronze (at least) for Ireland in boxing;  Michael Conlan beat Nordine Oubbaali of France in a right scrap. He now faces the very impressive young Cuban Robeisy Ramirez Carrazana in Friday's semi-final (20.45).
* Good run by Fionnuala Britton, but second heat proved the faster and pulled in four of the five fastest losers. In the 200m, Paul Hession in lane 6 had to chase down Yohan Blake (Jam), who was suspended for three months in 2009 after testing positive for a stimulant.
* Gavin Noble put in a great effort to finish 23rd in the triathlon. His time of 1:49.47 saw him finish 3 minutes 22 seconds behind Alastair Brownlee  of Great Britain; Jonathan Brownlee was third.
* Last day for the Irish sailors with  Ger Owens and Scott Flanigan in the 470 class moving up to 23rd overall after an outstanding 5th place in their final race.
* Great start by Derval O'Rourke in second semi-final of  the 100m hurdles but faded to finish 5th in 12.91 behind eventual champion  Sally Pearson (Aus).
